On behalf of the brothers of the Alpha Gamma chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity, I welcome you to our Fall 2009 rush. Each semester we open our doors to candidates to become our new brothers. It is my sincere hope that we will find these new additions to our brotherhood among those of you reading this out there.
As a business organization, AKPsi equips its members with the tools and the network necessary to succeed professionally. We are devoted to the success of each of our brothers, from their pledge semester to the end of their college career. Our chapter is home to forty of the most accomplished students at the University as well as a vast network of alumni in the business world. AKPsi offers the opportunity to form lifelong bonds with each of these talented and unique individuals. Long after my time at the University of Virginia is over, I will still be in contact with the brothers that I shared my AKPsi experience with.
Our brothers routinely receive internships and fulltime offers at a wide array of prestigious consulting firms, accounting firms, and investment banks. However, they were not always this accomplished. Every brother started out in the exact position you are in now. For myself, it was only a year ago that I found myself stepping into an AKPsi info session on a whim. I possessed a passion for business and a willingness to meet new people, but not much else. Since then, I have grown in leaps and bounds both personally and professionally and I owe that all to the brotherhood.
AKPsi helped me realize who I was, showed me who I could become, and gave me the means to facilitate that transformation. My hope is that every one of you out there will decide to come out and see what our brotherhood is all about. If you have any questions about rush, feel free to email me at rush.uva.akpsi@gmail.com. Better yet, you can speak to me in person at any of our rush events.
The brothers of Alpha Kappa Psi would like to formally invite you to cross the threshold and see where your potential can take you.
